Stephen Hanna -

The Broadway star and New York City Ballet (NYCB) Principal Dancer is a former student of Gulfshore Ballet's Executive Director Roberto Munoz.

Mr. Hanna took a leave from NYCB to originate the role of the older Billy in the Tony-award winning musical Billy Elliot. He recently returned to the ballet company to resume his rank of Principal Dancer as a guest artist for the Winter 2010 season.

In addition to his training with Munoz, Stephen Hanna also studied at the prestigious School of American Ballet, the official school of the NYCB. He joined the company in 1997.

Mr. Hanna co-stars in Broadway's Billy Elliot as Billy's older self.

Hanna, a former principal dancer with the New York City Ballet, will resume his rank in the company. He joined the corps of City Ballet in 1997 and was promoted to soloist in 2004. He was made a principal dancer in 2005.

Billy Elliot was nominated for 15 Tony Awards and took home won 10 honors earlier this year, including Best Musical.

Margaret Severin - Hansen

Margaret Severin-Hansen is a founding member of Carolina Ballet. She grew up in Huntington, Long Island where she studied dance at the Huntington School of Ballet until she went to the School of American Ballet when she was 13. She also studied for six weeks with the Royal Danish Ballet. She joined Carolina Ballet in 1998 as a member of the corps de ballet and quickly rose through the ranks to principal dancer.
